Søren Brodersen analysed the extent of DIY work in Denmark in the 1990s on behalf of the ROCKWOOL Foundation Research Unit. In this paper, he presents the results of questionnaire-based studies of the amount and nature of DIY work carried out in Germany, the United Kingdom and the Scandinavian countries.
