Actual and Potential Recipients of Welfare Benefits with a Focus on Housing Benefits, 1987-1992
Written by: Hans Hansen & Marie Louise Hultin
Not everybody claims the welfare benfits to which they are legally entitled. The aim of this study paper is to examine the actual number of individuals and amounts involved, and trends over the period 1987 to 1992. Special weight is placed on housing benefits, but other types of public welfare benefit are also included in the analysis. For the most part, the take-up of welfare benefits has not previously been analysed for Denmark.
